My passion for photography goes back to the 7th grade. I was fortunate to be introduced to photography at a young age and learn the fundamentals of the craft. By the eight grade I saved up all my money to buy a Canon AE-1 camera with a 50mm lens while processing black and white film and prints in the school darkroom. During College I took a few photo classes learning more about the camera and doing additional work in the darkroom. I also worked in a One Hour Photo Lab.

In early 2009 a chance encounter with a barred owl and my new Sony Alpha A350 set ablaze my interest in digital photography after growing up shooting film. Raptors led to other birds, wildlife and nature photography. By sharing the beauty of the world around us with my photography, it is my hope to educate people about the wonders of our world and inspire them to help conserve these amazing animals. My current gear is a Sony Alpha A900 and A99.

I enjoy photographing people as well! There is a great reward capturing people at a moment in time and sharing those images with them. My motivation is knowing that those images will become a part of their legacy that may be shared for generations. If you are interested in a portrait session, please contact me.
